News: Citroen DS3 Cabrio Revealed

Bling looking rims
Fancy a 500 Cabrio alternative? Citroen has unveiled their competitor to the 500. Say hi to the Citroen DS3 Cabrio. The DS3 Cabrio is basically a DS3 with the roof cut out - rails intact - and replaced with a fabric one. It goes up or down in 16 seconds and you can do it in a standing position or when you're driving up to 120 km/h. You read it right, 120km/h. Which is good though with the rain in Malaysia being so unpredictable.

The canvas roof gets a choice of 3 colours; black, infinite blue and a DS Monogrammed design. The blue one has three coloured thread woven together that creates a shiny effect. I'd take the black, thankyouverymuch. When the roof is fully opened, an a-la Polo deflector rises to deflect strong wind currents  and reduce sound from the wind. Talking about sound qualities, Citroen claims that soundproofing in the cabrio is up to par with its hardtop counterpart.

Blue. Weird colour
Dimensions of the car remain but the cabrio's roof system adds 25 kg to its weight. Lights now are filled with 31 rectangular LEDs and semi-reflecting mirrors to create a 3D effect in the lights. The interior also remains the same except for a few intrinsic details. You get white ambience lighting, acoustic damping and new leather upholstery - you get blue colour as a choice even. It'll be revealed in the Paris Motor Show soon and will go on sale next year. Mind bringing this to Malaysia, Citroen?
