News: Porsche Cayenne S Diesel

Another boring news you say? Kind of but the new diesel member gets a V8 engine, a torque crazy one in fact. The 4.2l twin-turbo V8 produces a healthy 382 bhp and like all diesels, deliver a monstrous amount of torque, 850 Nm for the Cayenne S Diesel. The century sprint is done in 5.7 seconds and it can go on to a top speed of 252 km/h.

The diesel V8 returns a respectable 12 kilometers in a litre of petrol (US stats) with help of the auto start-stop function available in this. Handling should be taken care of with Porsche Traction Management (PTM) which is an all wheel drive system that gives the Cayenne rear wheel drive characteristics while maintaining grip. Standard equipments are what you would find in the other Cayenne models and future buyers, don't fret too much about the badging because other than the front, the diesel name isn't stickered on elsewhere.
