News: Huet Brothers HB Coupe Revealed in Production Form

In case you didn't know, Huet Brothers is a venture formed through passion by two chaps living life of yesteryear. Paul and Tino - founders of Huet Brothers - were avid classic car enthusiasts and grew up in times where the television was an amazement, not a necessity and parking spots were widely available and free. They were basically retro. From what seemed like simple bar talk, Huet Brothers finally penned a car which had looks of the fifties race cars, was simple and affordable but was reliable and up to date with today's technology and gizmos.

Finally, from what seemed like an eternity, the HB Coupe is a step from becoming a reality. The HB Coupe sits on a carbon monocoque chassis that weighs less than a 100 kg. Don't be fooled by its granddaddy's looks as the seats and windows are heated, an entertainment touchscreen replaces the weedy radio systems of old and handcrafted leather is generously woven and stitched onto parts of the interior. Safety is highly acknowledged by Huet Brothers and incorporates ABS, ESP, airbags, seat belt tensioners as well as an integrated roll cage into the car. What's more? Front and rear impact zones and side impact reinforcement doors are carefully thought out and included in the vehicle.

There will be two engine choices to suit your taste. A standard 2.0l four-cylinder engine with 170 bhp is enough to propel the car from zero to hundred in under five seconds while a more hardcore Cosworth 2.0l four pot producing 255 bhp manages the sprint in less than four. Both engines are mated to a 6-speed manual and gets a limited slip differential installed to ensure spirited driving. How much? €67,800 for the standard and €78,500 for the Cosworth version. Now, which is your cup of tea? Pick one, like a sir.
