Honda has unveiled their 2013 Accord in all accordance. The picture you're looking at is the US-spec version which is also made available in Malaysia. The model clad in blue (picture is down below) is a coupe and is only available in the US. Tip: The Accord Coupe was never made available for the Malaysians. Guess it never will.
Anyway, the car's looks are more evolutionary than revolutionary. The rear lights definitely needs an update as it looks cheap to me. One thing about the Accord that never happens is that it doesn't exude an air of desirability. It looks fairly good and ticks all the right boxes but it just doesn't make me want one.Well, it may be because I see the Accords a lot on our roads. Still, it just doesn't feel special enough, doesn't it?
Powering the car are two engine choices. The first one is a 2.4l four-cylinder with about 180 hp and 240 Nm of torque. The other is a 3.5l V6 pushing 310 hp and 359 Nm of torque. There will be a hybrid for the green people coming along but I'm not sure if it will make it to Malaysia. Got to love the V6 engine in the Accord though. That's Volvo S60 T6 territory alright but will never be able to fight the S60 for exclusivity. For those of you who don't already know, there is an Euro model too and it is always much better looking than the US model. Well, you don't get that here, sadly.
