Rims just don't cut it in this |
Range Rover looks to be ahead of its schedule by leaking a few pictures of its biggest star that will go into production in 2013. The shape of the SUV is retained but its updated features get influenced by the Evoque. While the exterior seems to have changed very little, what changes dramatically is the chassis. Range Rover has said to have adapted a new all-aluminium monocoque body and chassis for their upcoming SUV that lightens its weight by 420 kg. That may be new to many in the SUV arena but with the alliance between RR and Jaguar, this is hardly surprising with the XJ boasting about the lightweight frame many years ago.

Sumptuous interior |
There will be three engines to choose from - a 3.0l V6 diesel, a revised 4.4l V8 and a 5.0 supercharged V8 you see in Jaguars. The gearbox paired to the engines is an 8-speed ZF which are also used by Jaguar themselves in the future as well.
