BMW is celebrating the 25th year of its V12 engine and decided to introduce a special edition 760Li for the peeps in the US. The first V12 that BMW used for its road cars was fitted to the 8-series that was in 1987. Just thought that you should know.
Anyway, the 760Li will have a run of 15 units only and gets the same 6.0l V12 producing 535 hp and 744 Nm of torque. Mated to an M-DCT transmission, it can rocket from 0 to a 100 km/h in just 4.5 seconds but has an electronically limited top speed of 209 km/h. Those who opt for the M-Sport package gets the top speed bumped to 250 km/h. I think it's still possible to get more from BMW but be sure to bring a bag of money and a sympathetic face.
To differentiate the 25th Anniversary edition from the normal ones, the limited 760Li gets rear seat entertainment with iDrive controls, leather finished pillars - A, B and C, rear parcel shelf in Anthracite Alcantara, Piano black wood inlays, 20-inch rims and Shadowline exterior trim. Erm, yeah. That's the details that was given by BMW. Still wondering why BMW would celebrate the 25th year with a 7-series.
You must be wondering about the price. It's USD 159,695 or RM 493,617 for the limited edition 760Li. Expensive? Not for us Malaysians, if you catch my drift.
