News: Nissan TeRRA Concept

Nissan has revealed an SUV called the TeRRA and it is an intriguing concept as it is the first zero emissions SUV from Nissan. Boasting zero emissions tech with the Leaf, the TeRRA features three electric motors, that's right, three powering the four wheels.

The first motor is an electric propulsion system used to empower the front wheels while for the back wheels, there's an electric motor inside each as shown by three working PIVO concepts. All that energy comes from the hydrogen fuel cell stack offering a power density of 2.5kW/L.

Inside the vehicle, wood is high prevalent with generous bits of metal here and there. There's a tablet that acts as an instrument cluster and an intelligent key which makes it removable. The tablet is docked when the driver enters the vehicle, the tablet then changes into an instrument cluster. When the driver leaves, the tablet is removed so as to turn off the vehicle. Creative eh?

This is still a concept and the future is still indecisive with the alternative fuel that will be used. But if hydrogen becomes the preferred choice, the TeRRA would be able to see the light of day.
