The RCZ as we all know is a pretty looking thing. But it isn't faultless. You see, the RCZ has a beautiful body but the face is what you would find plastered on the 308. It's not hideous or anything but it put me off from wanting one, in a way. To make it easier for you to understand, it's Scarlett Johansson with Mary's face. Mind you, Mary is one of the most common name used in the world so you see where I'm going?
It's been two years now and here's an update. The update is Peugeot's move towards their new design direction. Instead of the old smiley face with a big nose, it gets a more sophisticated and less aggressive face. It does share bits from the new 308 like the lights for example but everything else like the bumper gets more thought in the design. The reshaped headlamps host LED DRLs in them and the grille reminisce the 208's.
Engine choices remain the same with a 1.6l THP 156 producing 156 bhp and 240 Nm of torque, a 2.0l HDi FAP 163 generating 163 bhp and 340 Nm of torque and the variant leader, a 1.6l THP 200 pushing 200 bhp and 275 Nm of torque. The 1.6l THP 156 gets a 6-speed manual and automatic option while the rest get a 6-speed manual only.
The roof arches can be coloured too but gets 3 coloured options only - Aluminium, Sand and Matt Black. The carbon roof can be had in either Matt finish or Satin. Standard equipment include acoustic windscreen, automatic wipers, automatic headlamps, approach lights and other goodies. So far so good. What do you think? I like the facelifted RCZ. Now, to get enough money.
